Journey of Faith Church partners and shares facilities with Korean Central United Methodist Church of Dallas (KCUMC).  In addition, Journey of Faith is partnered with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) on a local level and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and Korean Baptist English Ministers Fellowship (KBEMF) on a national level.

Journey of Faith is also a partner church with which is a free English Ministry job posting site available to SBC and other evangelical immigrant churches in search of an English speaking staff.

Why not just be an independent church?

In a sense, Journey of Faith is independent.  Every Southern Baptist church is completely autonomous.  There is no denominational control or hierarchy, as there is in most other denominations.  Each church is self-governed and determines its own affairs.  For example, each SBC church:

  • Chooses its own pastors and staff
  • Owns/operates its own buildings and assets
  • Determines its own programs

What are the advantages of partnering with the SBC?

This partnership allows Journey of Faith Church to participate in the largest missionary organization in the world.  Through the SBC Cooperative Program, Journey of Faith helps to support thousands of missionaries in the United States and around the world.
