Service Groups

Service Groups are the ministry groups of JOF. Whether you have an area of expertise or talent, or you are just interested in learning and helping out, there is sure to be a service group of which you can be a part.

Purpose: The JOF Worship Team exists to usher JOF into proper worship and to help people experience the glory of God through music.
Description: The worship team meets weekly on Saturdays for a time of rehearsal and devotion to prepare for the musical section of worship service on Sundays. Each member is required to have a devotional Christian walk and to have a passion for worshipping God in song. Each member should also practice different forms of worship in their daily life that reflect the biblical implications of worship.

Journey Kids

Purpose: The Journey Kids children’s ministry exists so that every child at JOF will know the love of God, grow in faith, and demonstrate God’s unfailing grace in their everyday life.
Learning Inside the Classroom: Our teachers will instruct students in each classroom in age appropriate activities that include crafts, Bible stories, praise songs, etc. Children are given opportunities to learn about God, how to have appropriate interaction with peers, and using their imagination as they grow in their understanding and faith about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
Learning Outside the Classroom: The Journey Kids worship service is at 10am in Moody Chapel, where ages 2 and older worship by singing praise songs and hearing stories about God. The Journey Kids service is designed to teach Bible truths to children in a creative manner they will understand and enjoy.
